A scene from Artworks by Honami Enya.
Architectural drawings come to life in a novel way with the release of Honami Enya’s latest book, Artworks, which is a gorgeous collection of her isometric renderings of public spaces. Enya’s renderings aren’t just fun to look at, they are perfectly to scale and require 1-2 months per drawing. A formally trained architect, Enya actually hated the profession and found her niche in renderings for art’s sake. Currently only available on Amazon Japan, but you can follow the artist on Instagram for updates on wider distribution.

The Hotel at the Moore. Photo: Kris Tamburello/Courtesy of The Moore
The Miami Design District opened its first hotel concept in October, and not surprisingly, the decor is impeccably curated and culturally on point. The Hotel at the Moore is a chic collection of suites that allow guests to fully immerse themselves in Miami’s most design-forward neighborhood. Rooms are intentionally scarce in supply but worth catching your attention. Request a stay.
Pastels, velvet, and femininity galore in the “Venus Drawing Room” by Kate Figler Interiors. Photo by Nickolas Sargent.
Maximalism abounds at the 5th annual Kips Bay Decorator Show House Dallas, where 25 designers have come together to create truly over the top rooms in the Turtle Creek estate. We couldn’t help but notice several decor similarities to the Palm Beach edition (lots of palm trees, color palettes, and wicker), but its certainly worth a visit to immerse yourself in the whimsy of it all. Plus, the event is the top Boys & Girls Club’s fundraiser for the local chapter. Open through November 13th. Tickets.

Lifestyle hotel brand 25 Hours will soon be opening their Jakarta location, lovingly dubbed The Oddbird, and they’ve launched a hilariously clever Instagram campaign with “day in the life style” footage of team members that is a refreshingly honest and creative look at what goes into opening (and operating) a hotel. Watch the video series on their Instagram and see how cultures co-mingle behind the scenes at hotels around the world across F&B, procurement, and management, among other positions. The design-forward property is a blend of retro and modern, cheeky and chic, or a paradise of paradoxes, if you will. Opens this month.
